Eigenschappen:
Bagle is een mass-mailer internetworm die een trojan component op uw systeem installeert. De virusschrijver kan hiermee toegang krijgen tot het getroffen systeem, via poort 6777.
Ook verspreidt Bagle zich tot en met 28 januari 2004. Verspreiding na deze datum lijkt niet mogelijk.

Eigenschappen:
Bagle.q is een mass-mailer internetworm die zich verspreid via e-mail en via gedeelde netwerkbronnen (ook bijv. Kazaa).
Zijn grootste schade-component is het installeren van een backdoor waarmee de virusschrijver/cracker toegang krijgt tot het getroffen systeem.
Het maakt hiervoor gebruik van TCP poort 2556. OOk tracht het lokaal opgeslagen .exe bestanden te infecteren.
Distributie
Deze nieuwe variant verspreidt zich op unieke wijze. U ontvangt een e-mail, met onderstaande eigenschappen, indien uw Windows-systeem niet volledig is geupdate met de laatste patches dan kan het VBS-script in deze e-mail ervoor zorgen dat het daardwerkelijke schadelijke bestand via http wordt binnengebracht. Hiervoor gebruikt het poort TCP poort 81.

* Afzender: [spoofed, ofwel adres is niet van de werkelijke afzender, kan bijvoorbeeld een e-adres zijn wat aanwezig is in het adressenboek van het verzendende c.q. besmette systeem.]
